- Professor Dr. Priti S Sajja: Recipient of “Lifetime Achievement Award ” from the National Foundation for Entrepreneurship Development on September 05, 2022.
- Professor Dr. Priti S Sajja: Recipient of “Sardar Patel Research Award” in Basic and Computer Science consecutively for three years (2019 to 2021)
- Professor Dr. Priti S Sajja & Professor Dr. Sonal A Jain : Recipient of “Sardar Patel Research Award” under the title “Intelligent recommendation for Socio Economics Uplift of Indian women through a Hybrid Multi-Agent Intelligent System”.
Presently the Department runs 6 programmes including Master of Computer Applications (MCA), Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Applications (PGDCA), M. Sc. (Bioinformatics), M. Phil. (Computer Science), Ph. D. (Computer Science) and Ph. D. (Bioinformatics). More than 450 students are pursuing various degrees at the Department. Research is being conducted in diverse areas like Information Systems, Knowledge Based Systems, Semantic Web and Ontologies, Software Engineering, Data Communication, Systems Software, Distributed Computing, Image Processing, Speech Recognition, Bioinformatics, Data Warehouses, Knowledge Management, Artificial Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, etc. The Department organizes various academic events throughout the year.
